How to Customize Basketball Ball Bags

Teams use a basketball bag to carry their balls with them when they travel on the road. For games away from home, most teams usually take a bag full of regulation balls that they can use to warm up with in case the host team does not have enough available. The balls are also used in the locker room by some of the players to warm their hands up before the game starts. Having a customized bag will ensure that your team's balls do not get lost or mixed in with the other team's.

      Write the team name on the side of the bag. Find an artistic player, cheerleader or parent to write the team name on the side of the bag as fancy as they can with a marker. The name should be written in one, or all, of the school or team colors. This project could take some time, so assign it to a player before the season starts, giving him time to work on it. Customizing the bag with the team name will become a point of pride for the person did it.

      Draw the team logo or mascot on the bag, using markers in the team colors. This is a good project for an art class to undertake if the bag is being used for a school. Ask the art teacher if they have any students who could draw the mascot on the bag for extra credit. The mascot can be drawn under the team's name on the side of the bag or else on the other side if it requires too much room.

      To make the ball bag stick out, tie a colorful piece of ribbon to the handle or strap of the bag. This will help you to identify your bag from afar as well as make it different than any other ball bag around. It's a nice project for the cheerleaders to enjoy on the bus while going to the away game.
