Jeremie Piette Vancouver Whitecaps Defender
Playing for the Vancouver Whitecaps from 2003 – 2004 were two of the best years of my life [Jeremie Piette]. I remember hearing for the first few days from so many people how Vancouver is often ranked #1 place in the world to live. The sites and the people are just next level. From the beach and ocean, surrounded by pine trees and mountains all around. Then some of the best people I have ever known. Loyal people who to this day would help me out if I needed it, and I would do the same for them.
To this day I probably bring up Vancouver once a month to someone. Either telling a story about being there or persuading someone to go visit. This is definitely one city that deserved to get an MLS team. The amount of people that love football/soccer due to the diverse backgrounds and then just a place to share with footballers who get to travel there for games.
