How to Become a Crossfit Trainer

Crossfit is a program designed to help athletes achieve peak physical fitness. As a Crossfit trainer, you will be required to have a fully developed knowledge on the Crossfit system, as well as an ability to inspire and teach others to use Crossfit to achieve a high fitness standard.

      Attend a Level 1 Certification course. This course will get you acquainted with the methods and concepts of the Crossfit program and will lay the foundation for your future training endeavors. Cost of attending a Level 1 Certification course is $1,000. If you require multiple sessions to learn the basics, the cost of attendance decreases every time you attend, with the second run costing $500 and a third time or more costing $250.

      Receive Level 2 Certification. This course is specifically designed for those wishing to become Crossfit trainers and will teach you all skills needed to teach Crossfit. During this course, you will be tested by your teaching abilities and fundamental knowledge of Crossfit. This course is rigorous, and you may be required to take it more than once to be adequately prepared for teaching others. The cost of attendance for Level 2 courses are the same as the Level 1 course, although Level 2 courses are free after the third attendance.

      Become a Crossfit affiliate by submitting an online application to Crossfit, or join an established affiliate in your area. There you can work as a trainer and teach the skills learned from Crossfit to others in a gym setting.
