Exhaust Performance
-
1
Remove the stock exhaust system from the motorbike. Remove the screws from the motorbike's plastic body covering to reveal the entire exhaust system. Take off all of the bolts, using the socket wrench.
-
2
Take off each part one at a time. Start by removing the muffler and then the pipes leading to the engine. This can either be a single pipe or multiple pipes, depending on the type of motorbike.
-
3
Install the new exhaust pipes by placing them in the exact same place as the stock pipes. Use the socket wrench to tighten these pipes.
-
4
Connect the muffler to the exhaust pipes. Tighten the muffler, using the socket wrench. The upgraded muffler and pipes will be lighter and provide better performance for the motorbike.
-
5
Attach the motorbike's body panels and replace the screws. Tighten the screws until they are firmly in place.
-
6
Turn on the motorbike. Listen to the exhaust for any exhaust leaks while the motorbike is idling.
Motorbike's Power Unit
-
7
Find the motorbike's electronic computer system. The exact location depends on the type of motorbike, but a majority of the time the electronics are in between the handlebars on the motorbike's dashboard.
-
8
Unscrew the computer unit until the wires for the accessory hub are reachable.
-
9
Plug in the power commander unit, which is used to tune a motorbike's electronic systems.
-
10
Select the desired setting on the power commander unit by going to the menu selection and choosing the appropriate setting manually. The power commander will electronically tune the motorbike, which will increase power and torque.
-
11
Unplug the power commander unit from the accessory hub. Screw back in the computer unit until the screws are firmly in place.
