History of Razor USA
-
Razor USA, LLC was founded in Cerritos, California, in 2000. The company's first successful creation was the Razor scooter. It has since developed a wide range of products, including the RipStik, Rip Rider and Pocket Mod.
RipStik Creation
-
Razor created the RipStik caster board to blend surfing, skating and snowboarding experiences into one. The RipStik has two platforms, one at either end, for the rider's feet. Riders shift their weight to move themselves forward without having to touch the ground.

The classic RipStik was one of 2007's best-selling outdoor products, earning $70 million through September of that year. The RipStik now comes in several different models, including the G, the Air Pro and the RipSter.
Pricing
-
RipStiks were originally priced from $99 to $129. Some models now sell for as little as $49.
Awards and Honors

In 2007, Wal-Mart featured the RipStik caster board on its "Top 12 Toys for Christmas" list. In February 2008, the Toy Industry Association named the RipStik the Outdoor Toy of the Year.
