      Leg Lifts - The best butt exercises are leg lifts. These butt exercises can be done in nearly every position. To complete these, start in the standing position. One leg is simply lifted while it is kept perfectly straight. Tighten and flex your gluteus consciously while you do leg lifts and do them rapidly not slow until your butt is fatigued. Slower leg lifts just take longer to fatigue your muscles.

      Perform side leg lifts. These are the same as normal leg lifts but they are performed by raising one leg to the side. They are also called hip extensions. These butt exercises tone and tighten your hip muscles. Use ankle weights when these get too easy to perform.

      Leg Extensions and Rear Leg Lifts are another one of the top butt exercises. They are performed by getting on your hands and knees and lifting and pushing out your rear leg into the air behind you. Remember to squeeze and tighten your gluteus. You should always feel the muscle working and it should be fatigued after your work out.

      Use weights. Weights are great when doing butt exercises because they will tire out your muscles faster. Ankle weights should be added when doing leg lifts after you feel you can do ten or more in quick succession without getting tired. Continue to add weights or increase the speed or number of reps you are doing to continue tiring your muscles.

      Toe taps are great butt exercises. Lie down on your back, then raise your knees. Gently tap your toes from side to side. You should feel the glutes working as you do these fast butt exercises.
