How to Rig Extra Power Rods for a Bowflex

Bowflex home gyms use power rods -- long, flexible bars -- for exercise resistance. Each home gym comes with either 210 or 310 lbs. of resistance, upgradeable to 310 or 410 lbs. by adding two 50-lb. rods. The procedure for adding the extra rods to your Bowflex home gym varies slightly, depending on the upgrade, because you can upgrade some gyms twice, from 210 to 310 to 410 lbs. If your power rod base has two open holes, you place the extra rods there. If not, you slide the new power rods next to the original pack.
