Kettlebell Vs. Kettlenetics
-
Function
-
Kettlebell training is based on generating momentum through specific exercises then redirecting and decelerating that momentum. Kettlebell exercise engages hundreds of muscles at once. Training with kettlebells builds strength, power, speed, coordination, core stability and promotes weight loss and overall health, according to KettleBellWorks.
Purpose
-
Kettlenetics is geared at slimming and sculpting the core body muscles and shedding unwanted pounds. The kBell is a tool used in kettlenetics. The majority of the resistance in kettlenetics comes from participants' bodies not from the kBell.
Recommendations
-
Kettlenetics' kBell weighs only 4 pounds. The American Council on Exercise recommends that women training with kettlebells start with bells weighing 8 pounds to 15 pounds and men start with 15-pound to 25-pound kettlebells. Other trainers recommend starting at greater weights.
