1
Test your Star Trac Spinner Elite on weekly basis by moving through each cycle and listening for squeaking and other unusual noises and vibrations. Tighten loose bolts using an Allen wrench.

2
Inspect the seat, handlebar, brake pad, crank arms and bike chain. Look for excessive wear on the seat, handlebar and brake pad. Replace parts when excessive ripping, tearing or other signs of wear are present. Refer to the owner's manual for information on ordering replacement parts. Use an Allen wrench to tighten loose bolts on the seat and handlebar. Remove the bike chain guard to inspect and/or adjust the crank arms using a foot-pound torque wrench. Adjust it to 30-35 foot-pounds of torque. Inspect the bike chain. Follow the instructions in the owner's manual to adjust a loose bike chain.

3
Test all knobs and controls. Knobs and controls include pop pin handles (which allow you to move the handlebar and seat to different height positions), the resistance control knob and tension handles. Replace knobs that you can no longer turn, push or pull properly.
-
4
Inspect the pedals and toe/foot straps. Remove loose pedals using a 15 mm pedal wrench and replace them with new pedals. Check for excessive stretching or tearing on the toe/foot straps. Replace them as necessary.
-
5
Inspect the entire body for rust. Turn the spinner elite over carefully to inspect underneath for rust. Remove rust using a small wire brush. Inspect the leveling feet. Leveling feet help keep the bike stable and they should all be secure on the bottom of the machine.
