1
Give your eyes a break while reading on the exercise bike. Before you begin exercising while reading on a stationary bike, it's important to realize that this isn't the easiest task to accomplish. Your entire body moves, which causes your head to bob up and down which makes reading more difficult. To successfully read while on an exercise bike, it's essential to give your eyes a rest every few pages to prevent headaches or dizziness.

2
Decide where to position your reading material before beginning to exercise. You don't want to constantly fix your book if it happens to move around while exercising. This distraction could disrupt your workout.
-
3
Rest your reading material onto the screen of the exercise bike. Make sure the book is within an arm's distance to facilitate reading and page turning.
-
4
Secure a book caddy to your stationary bike. A mount attachment will ease the reading process while exercising on your bike. It costs about $15, as of December 2010.
-
5
Stabilize your reading material with your two hands. Instead of buying the book caddy attachment for your stationary bike, you can rest the reading material between your two hands to contain the amount of shock that it receives (while also giving your hands a place to rest besides the bike's handlebars).
