Bikram Yoga
-
1
Immerse yourself in a room that has a temperature of 110 degrees and centre yourself on your yoga mat.
-
2
Follow either an instructed program or a home DVD that leads you through a series of 27 postures and stretches.
-
3
Drink plenty of water afterwards, as you will be dehydrated from sweating. This intense program will be very difficult at first, but will build mental and physical stamina.
Weight Lifting
-
4
Use weight machines like benches and cable apparatus to improve you muscular systems. Many people think that aerobic exercise alone will increase stamina, but the truth is that simultaneously improving aerobic and muscular systems is a much more efficient way of increasing stamina.
-
5
Use free weights to build stamina as well. Start at a manageable weight and steadily increase the weight as your strength grows.
-
6
Use you own body weight to drastically improve your fitness and stamina by performing sit ups, press ups and pull ups. These activities can be done almost anywhere at anytime.
Pilates and Relaxation
-
7
Use an instructed program or a home DVD to improve your fitness with pilates by focusing on the core of your body.
-
8
Focus on your stomach and lower back with a consistent pilates routine, as this will not only build stamina but improve your balance and posture.
-
9
Perform deep breathing exercise after you have done your pilates or any other work out routine. Even taking a 20 minute nap can improve your stamina, as it gives your brain and body an essential opportunity to restore and repair themselves.
