1
Jump rope as often as you possibly can. This is probably the best way to increase your foot speed because all you need is space and a jump rope to use this exercise. Jump rope strengthens and increases the response rate of fast twitch muscles, which are essential for muscle speed.

2
Perform the box jump drill to increase your foot speed. This drill is just as it sounds; you will need to assemble at least one box and jump from the ground to the box as fast as you can. If you can assemble or find a multi-layer box this is a better way to increase foot speed. This has three different height levels that you can leap up on.

3
Run hill sprints to increase foot speed. Hill sprints force you to use other muscle in the feet that you normally do not use on a flat surface. Sprint the hills as fast as possible and then take a break. Going full out can push the muscle development to a new level. Be careful to listen to your body and if you feel any pain, stop the exercise.

Dissect your running form for any flaws. Make sure that you are running with the proper heel to toe motion. Sometimes people learn to run with bad form at an early age and they never correct it. Running with proper foot motion can increase your foot speed dramatically.
