How to Clean a Thermal Neoprene Knee Stabilizing Support

Thermal knee stabilizing supports help to retain your body's natural heat, which can aid in the healing of a knee injury. These supports can also protect your knee from excessive injuries while you are running or participating in a sporting event. As with any clothing item, thermal knee supports should be washed whenever they have been worn for a significant period of time in order to eliminate germs, stains and odors from the inside and outside of the supports.

Instructions

    • 1

Pour 1 cup antibacterial dish soap and 1 cup white vinegar into the clean sink or clean bucket. Fill the rest of the bucket with warm (not hot) faucet water.

    • 2

Soak the knee support for 45 minutes to an hour.

    • 3

Scrub the inside and outside of the knee support with the soft-bristled tooth brush. Scrub the support while it is still underwater, as doing so makes it easier to remove dirt and debris from the support.

    • 4

Remove the knee support from the liquid. Inspect the item, and resoak the support if you notice dirt or other debris on it. Otherwise, proceed to Step 5.

    • 5

Rinse the inside and outside of the knee support thoroughly with warm tap water.

    • 6

Hang the knee support either in a sunny spot outdoors or in front of a fan. Make sure the knee support is fully dry before you put it away.
