How to Polish an Air Hockey Table Top

Air hockey tables contain an air compressor that forces air through the numerous small holes on the surface of the table top. These holes need to be kept free of dust and the play area around them needs to stay slick so the puck can slide easily across the table. A routine polishing of the tabletop should accomplish this task.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Clear the table of any game equipment.

    • 2

Use a handheld vacuum to remove any dust and debris from the entire surface of the table.

    • 3

Turn on the air hockey table so air blows through the holes.

    • 4

Apply isopropyl alcohol or window cleaner to a soft cloth. Do not saturate the cloth.

    • 5

Start at one side of the table. Using small, circular motions, slowly rub the cloth across the entire length of the table. Apply additional alcohol or window cleaner to the cloth as needed.

    • 6

Remove any excess liquid with a dry second cloth. Use a light touch to avoid scratching the table.

    • 7

Shut off the air flow when the table is completely dry.
