Instructions

    • 1

Take your board and rig to the water separately.

    • 2

Carry the board under your arm at the center point. If the board is too wide, you can hold it by the dagger-board slot. If it is still unwieldy, carry it on top of your head.

    • 3

Pick up your rig on the windward (upwind) side.

    • 4

Hoist the rig over your head, keeping the mast pointed leeward (downwind). Hold on to the mast and the boom while keeping the clew of your sail leeward.

    • 5

Connect your mast to your board at the very edge of the water (accounting for the tide).

    • 6

Hold the board and the rig as a single piece, keeping the mast leeward, and carry it into the water.
