How to Trim Morey Swim Fins

In existence since 1971, Morey Products manufactures body boards and swim fins. The company's Churchill fins are usable in the sport of body-boarding to propel riders more rapidly, or in regular swimming or snorkeling. If you feel your Morey swim fins are too long and impeding your movements in the water, you can easily trim them, which can result in a faster kick and traveling speed.

Instructions

    • 1

Draw a line across the top of one of your Morey swim fins that follows the distinct curved edge. Use a pen or marker. Make the line at a spot that represents how much you wish to trim.

    • 2

Place the swim fin on a flat surface and cut along the line with a utility knife, trimming away the edge. Some types of heavy-duty scissors can work as well.

    • 3

Turn your untrimmed swim fin so it faces upward. Place the trimmed swim fin on top of it, lined up as evenly as possible. Trace along the trimmed edge with a marker, creating a trim line on the bottom of the other fin. Repeat the cutting process.
