Instructions for a Timber Creek Mojave Deluxe Canopy

Timber Creek is the name of an outdoor outfitting supply company whose products are sold at Academy Sporting Goods chain stores across the United States. Timber Creek primarily manufactures a variety of different-sized enclosed tents. However, the company also makes large outdoor picnic canopies like the Mojave Deluxe Canopy. These wall-free canopies provide an open-air experience but provide shade for outdoor family fun. The Mohave Deluxe is assembled using basic tools. However, having several people hold the structure as it is assembled would be helpful.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove all the contents from the package and check against the parts list in the owner's manual to make sure all the pieces of the Mojave Deluxe are accounted for.

    • 2

Separate the pieces into four basic groups: the canopy itself, the leg pieces, crown connector and frame pieces and assembly hardware.

    • 3

Spread the canopy out, with the top side lying on the ground, in the outdoor area where you plan to install it.

    • 4

Tie the crown connector in place using the straps at the center of the canopy.

    • 5

Assemble the canopy frame pieces by sliding the ends together, inserting the bolt through the pieces and tightening the nut on the end of each with the adjustable wrench.

    • 6

Insert one end of the assembled canopy frame pieces into the crown connector. Slide the corner support pipes (which are slightly bent at an angle) onto the other end of the canopy frame pieces.

    • 7

Assemble the leg pieces by fitting them together and then tightening them with the nuts and bolts in the mounting hardware. Tighten the nuts and bolts with the adjustable wrench.

    • 8

Insert the one end of the leg supports into each corner support pipe and then, with assistance from helpers, flip the entire canopy assembly right side up.

    • 9

Shove the canopy leg ends slightly into the ground to help support the structure. Also, if need be, hook the support ropes to the metal eye bolts near the top of the legs. Tie the other end of the support ropes to the end of the small support spikes that are driven into the ground.
