How to Winterize Pop-Up Campers

- RV anti-freeze
- Wrench set
- Garden hose

Empty out the refrigerator in your pop-up camper. Do not leave any perishable food items in the camper.

Drain the freshwater holding tank. Drain the black- and gray-water holding tanks. Consult the manufacturer's manual for draining procedures for your pop-up camper.

Pour RV anti-freeze into the black- and gray-water holding tanks. You may need to put several gallons into each tank.

Pour several gallons of RV anti-freeze into the fresh water-holding tank. Open all the faucets in the camper. Turn on the water pump. Run the water pump until the anti-freeze comes out of all the faucets. Close all the faucets and turn off the water pump.

Disconnect the negative battery cable with the wrench. Disconnect the positive battery cable. Remove the battery from the pop-up camper. Store the battery indoors for the winter.

Spray the camper with the garden hose. Make sure that the camper canvas is free from debris. Let the camper dry out. Store the camper for the winter.
