Impex Olympic Home Gym Workout Tips
-
Change Your Routine
-
Even the dedicated fitness enthusiast can be undermined by his own workout routine if he doesn't change it up over time. According to Home Gym Adviser, incorporating variety into a cardio or weightlifting regimen is important because the body "gets used" to the same kind of exercise, limiting the effect of that particular workout. Change your regimen every two to four weeks. Work out different muscle groups, alter your lifting motions, or engage the equipment in different ways.
Increase the Intensity
-
Doing more work in a shorter period of time is one way to incorporate new workout routines. Home Gym Adviser suggests you increase the load, cut rest time between sets, do four sets per muscle group, and don't stop. This workout will have you spending less time and with greater overall intensity.
Safety Precautions
-
Know how to use your Impex home gym before beginning. The company recommends you keep children and pets away from the equipment during workouts. It cautions against using the machine near water or outdoors, and suggest installing it only on a clear, level surface. Use a spotter if possible, and stop any workout immediately if you begin feeling nauseous, chest pain or other unexplained discomfort.
One-Sided Workouts
-
Try using the equipment to do one-sided workouts -- exercise that focuses on, for example, the left leg or the right arm. With the Olympic home gym, you can perform leg presses. Reduce the weight and only using one leg, or use one arm for the front press, which is another exercise option available on the machine. This kind of exercise is especially good for balance and for working the trunk and core muscles.
