Standard Vise Models

Place the pedestal vise on a smooth and even surface. Slide the opening on the jaws of the clamp model against the end of a flat table surface for C-clamp models. Screw the rod on the bottom of the clamp in a counterclockwise motion to secure the clamp to the table.

Locate the screw function on the side of the vise. Screw the handle counterclockwise to open the jaws on the vise. Insert the hook into the jaws and screw the handle clockwise to close the jaws and secure the hook.

Locate the tension handle if a screw handle is not available. The tension handle is a small rod located immediately beneath the vise jaws. Pull on the handle to open the jaws. Hold the handle and insert the hook in the jaws. Release the handle to close the jaws and secure the hook.

Place the pedestal on a flat surface or secure the C-clamp base to the edge of a flat table by screwing the clamp rod in a counterclockwise motion.

Screw the knob on the side of the jaws in a counterclockwise motion to open the jaws. Insert the hook and screw the knob in a clockwise motion to secure the hook. Pull and hold the tension rod if a knob is not present. Insert the hook and release the rod to secure the hook.

Rotate the rotary handle in one hand and control the thread in the opposite hand. Use the combination to double the speed of thread and material wraps by moving the thread and rotary hand in opposite directions.

Rest the thread and partially secured materials on the post that raises immediately next to the jaws. Place the materials in the slot on the post for a secure connection. Rotate the post to control the placement of materials and to wrap the thread around partially secured materials.
