Kerker Megaphone Installation Instructions

The Kerker Megaphone is a custom motorcycle exhaust pipe system made by SuperTrapp Industries. Kerker Megaphones use SuperTrapp's patented diffuser disc technology, which allows a rider to adjust how his motorcycle is performing by adding or removing discs inside the end of the exhaust. Removing discs enriches carburetion if the throttle seems lackluster. If the throttle is flooding, adding discs tones down carburetion. If your current exhaust system is malfunctioning, or if you just want to customize your exhaust, you can install a Kerker Megaphone in about two hours.

Instructions

      Stack the number of discs recommended for your motorcycle's exhaust system together on the inside of the Megaphone's end cap. Slip the screws through the end cap screw holes and discs, then put high-temp lube (which comes with the Megaphone) on the ends of the screws. Mount the end cap onto the inside of the Megaphone's muffler. Tighten the screws with the T-handled hex key and then set the Megaphone aside.

      Use the socket set to loosen all the bolts that attach the old exhaust pipe to the motor. Do not completely remove the bolts yet.

      Remove the muffler bolts and slide the muffler off. Use a spray lubricant, if necessary, to help loosen the muffler if it is stuck because of rust or scoring.

      Remove the bolts holding the old pipe on and then gently lift off the old pipe.

      Pry out the old muffler gasket with a flat head screwdriver and then fit a new gasket into place.

      Bolt the new pipe assembly to the side of the motorcycle.

      Connect the muffler to the pipe assembly and bolt the muffler to the motorcycle's engine using the socket set.
