How to Install the Browning Ping in a Mark IV
Browning Labs Inc manufactured the Browning Golden Eagle Mark IV CB radio. This CB radio is desk-style and offers 40 channels with a frequency range of 26.965 to 27.405 MHz. Though no longer in production as of 2011, many of these radios are still in use. The ping sound is a transmission indicator produced by a 2uF, 450 volt capacitor. Over time, the ping may become muffled or silent. Installing a larger capacitor will produce a louder ping in your Browning Mark IV.
