1
Screw the sizer die into the collet at the top of the reloading press. Lower the ram arm to bring the shell holder up. Ensure that the top of the shell holder touches the bottom of the die. Raise the ram arm to lower the shell holder. Turn the tie 1/8 to 1/4 turn lower. This will set the die at the proper depth to size the case. Tighten the large lock ring on the top of the press to secure the die at this position.

2
Screw the expander die into the collet at the top of the press. Lower the ram arm to raise the shell holder. Ensure that the bottom of the die touches the top of the shell holder. Tighten the large lock ring on the top of the die. Raise the ram arm to lower the shell holder. Place a case into the shell holder. Lower the arm to raise the case up into the expander die. Raise the arm again. Inspect the case to ensure that it expanded (flared) to the proper dimensions based on your .45 reloading chart. If the dimensions are off slightly, loosen the lock ring and unscrew the die by 1/8 turn if the case flare is too great. Screw the die down 1/8 turn if not enough case flare is evident.

3
Place a primed, sized and charged case into the shell holder. Lower the ram arm to raise the case up to the top of the press stroke. Screw the seater die into the press until the bottom of the die touches the case mouth. Back the die out one full turn. Tighten the large lock ring. This will create sufficient space for the press to seat the bullet into the case.
