Connect the programmer's 6-pin connector to the 6-pin pigtail in the Sea-Doo's front storage area.

Turn on the programmer. If the programmer is shared with others, enter your password by using the numeric keypad. Press the "Menu" button and push the "Down" arrow until the cursor reaches "Vehicle Info." Press "Enter."

Push the "Down" button to move down the list to "Bosch System." Select "Bosch System" by pressing "Enter."

Select the first position, "Diagnosis," and press "Enter." The MPEM programmer will greet you with the words "Initializing Process." Following this a few seconds later will be another menu. Move past "Bosch Info" and "Read Fault." The programmer will give you a "fault code."

Look up the fault code in the programmer's documentation. Turn the programmer off and disconnect it from the Sea-Doo.
