How to Clean 1995 Sea Doo GTX Fuel Filter

Open the hatch on the Sea Doo's storage compartment. Lift the basket from the storage compartment. Locate the bilge vent tube running across the top of the basket bracket. Press the part of the vent tube on the top part of the bracket and remove the tube.

Turn the fuel control valve to the "Off" position. Open the cap on the fuel tank.

Turn the fuel filter bowl counterclockwise to unscrew it. Remove the fuel filter bowl. Check the fuel filter bowl for water.

Pull the fuel filter straight down to remove it. Blow low-pressure compressed air over and across the filter to clean it.

Push the filter straight up to replace it in the filter base. Lift the fuel filter bowl and thread it into the fuel filter base. Turn it clockwise to tighten it until it is snug.

Replace the bilge vent tube. Replace the storage compartment basket. Close the storage compartment. Replace the cap on the fuel tank.
