How to Attach a Kayak Stacker

Before you start paddling, you have to get the kayaks and gear to the water. Yakima Racks makes the Kayak Stacker to get your boats to the water. This rack goes on top of your vehicle and stacks the kayaks on their sides, one next to the other. Yakima makes its rack systems to go onto the vehicle quickly and with minimal tools. Use a rack, such as the Kayak Stacker, to keep your valuable kayaks secure during transport. The rack works with square and round car rack bars.

Instructions

      Push the SnapArounds so they are open and slide over the bars, square or round. Clip the tabs on the inside of the SnapArounds with scissors or a cutting tool.

      Place two SnapArounds onto each bar of the rack system.

      Put the Stacker bases onto the top of the SnapArounds and align the screw holes.

      Push the screw-bolts into the holes and screw the hex keys under the screws. Turn them so they rest on the screws, but do not tighten.

      Align the Stacker bars so they are in line with each other going from front to back bar. Each bar gets two Stacker bars.
