How to Remove Stomp Pad Adhesive
Stomp pads are designed to give you more control on your snowboard when exiting the chair lift or when traversing with your back foot free of its binding. With time and frequent use, your stomp pad may need to be replaced, or you may want to try out a new type. Before putting a new stomp pad on your board, you must completely remove all adhesive from the old stomp pad. You can do this with items you may already have at home.
Things You'll Need
- Hair dryer
- Dental floss
- Citrus-based cleaner or acetone
- Textured cloth or dish scrubber

1
Warm the adhesive with a hair dryer set to high heat for 2 minutes, to soften it and make it easier to remove.
-
2
Use dental floss to remove larger chunks of adhesive. Wrap the floss around your two index fingers, just as you would to floss your teeth, and slide the floss back and forth underneath the adhesive to loosen it from the board.

3
Pour a small amount of citrus-based cleaner or acetone onto a textured cloth or dish scrubber, and gently scrub the area to remove the last of the adhesive.
