How to Make a Smoke Screen for Paintball

Paintball is a combat-action game typically played on a designated field, or on private property with specific boundaries. The games are generally played between two or more teams that advance toward opposing goals or forts. Several tactics including camouflage and bunkers are used to aid in advancement while on the field. One other tactic that offers the advantage of concealment is a smoke screen. Smoke bombs can be made to form a smoke screen while playing paintball.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut 10 ping-pong balls into tiny pieces, using scissors. Cut the tops of 10 match-heads off of the matchsticks.

    • 2

Form a bowl shape out of two sheets of aluminum foil. Mix the match-heads and ping-pong ball clippings together and pour them into the foil bowl.

    • 3

Lay out a 10-inch sheet of aluminum foil. Place a pencil on the sheet and roll the foil up over the pencil. Remove the pencil. This forms a tin-foil tube.

    • 4

Insert one end of the foil tube into the foil bowl. Close the foil bowl around the foil tube tightly. Wrap another sheet of foil around the seam.

    • 5

Poke a 1/4-inch hole into the foil bowl. Insert a fuse into the hole.

    • 6

Set the bomb in such a manner that the tube points toward the direction that you want the smoke to go. Point the tube in the same direction the wind is blowing, if possible. Light the fuse and move away from the bomb.
