How to Set My Paintball Gun Dwell & Settings

A paintball dwell is a measurement that controls how long the solenoid is open. The solenoid connects the electric board to the moving parts of the paintball marker. Fine-tuning the dwell will allow you to get better performance out of your paintball gun.

Instructions

  1. Setting Paintball Dwell

    • 1

Fill your paintball gun's gas or air tank.

    • 2

Enter the setup menu, displayed on the LCD screen.

    • 3

Enter the dwell menu, and select the minimum setting.

    • 4

Dry fire your paintball marker. Dwell settings are adjusted in increments of .5 milliseconds, so make adjustments after each fire.

    • 5

Listen for a pop with each shot. If the sound is muffled, continue to increase your dwell setting.

    • 6

Once the paintball marker consistently makes the pop sound, you can stay at that setting or continue to tweak for the best firing rate.
