How to Charge the Rifle on a Precharged Pneumatic

Recharging air-powered guns, either airsoft guns or paintball guns, is a part of regular maintenance. After a certain number of shots, the compressed air is depleted and must be replaced somehow. While some guns are equipped to simply trade out their spent air canisters for new ones, other guns have tanks that can be refilled without being removed from the gun.

Instructions

    • 1

Empty the ball tank on a paintball gun or remove the magazine from an airsoft gun, and then empty the chamber, either by working the action or by pulling the trigger to fire any round that remains in the chamber.

    • 2

Locate the recharging port on the weapon. On most pneumatic recharchables, the recharging port is located on the grip below the trigger guard.

    • 3

Turn the dust cover, which is over the recharge port, to the left. Twist until the port itself is revealed, the female portion being on the gun.

    • 4

Bring the male attachment from the recharging pneumatic, and connect it to the female recharge port on the grip of the gun. The air flow will begin automatically when the charger is depressed as the two ends are pushed firmly together.

    • 5

Fill the tank with air, watching the air pressure indicator gauge. Do not fill above 3,000 psi. Remove the male attachment when the gun is completely recharged, and return the dust cover to its original position to protect the recharge port.
