How to Dress for Parasailing

Parasailing over the ocean or a lake is one of the most beautiful sights you'll ever get. You get an extraordinary view, from dolphins gliding through the water to unmatched cityscapes, it's incredible. You're basically hooked into a harness which is attached to a parachute. There's a tow rope hitched to a boat or jeep. When it takes off and gains speed, the wind pulls you into the air.

Instructions

    • 1

Dress comfortably. You're about to fly high into the air. The last thing you should be dealing with is a crazy outfit that's blowing in the wind.

    • 2

Stick to casual clothing. Beach attire like a bathing suit works great. You can also wear a pair of shorts and a tee shirt.

    • 3

Stay away from wearing a skirt or skort. You will be wearing a harness. It goes between your legs and latches. So, you have to wear something that will allow the harness to go on properly.

    • 4

Prepare to get wet if the parasailing guide dips you in the water. It's supposed to be a toe-dip, but you really never know how wet you'll get. In this case, you won't want to end up looking like you're in a wet tee shirt contest. Consider wearing a darker colored shirt for this reason.

    • 5

Wear warm clothing if you're parasailing during the winter months. Some companies do offer trips year-around. It can get chilly up there.

    • 6

Kick the shoes off at shore. Most parasailing vessels don't allow you to wear shows of any kind.

    • 7

Lather on the sun block. It will be the last thing you're thinking of, but you can get pretty burned while parasailing.
