How to Install a Kettler Ping Pong Net

Ping pong -- also called table tennis -- is played both professionally and recreationally. Tables are manufactured for home use both indoors and outdoors. Installing the net is the last step when setting up a new ping pong table. Easy-to-install replacement and specialty nets are also available for purchase on the Kettler website.

Things You'll Need

  • Assembled ping pong table
  • Net with pre-inserted tension top string
  • Tension rod hook
  • White plastic tension adjustment tab
  • Adjustment knob

      Ensure the ping pong table is fully assembled, including net posts on both sides. The net posts are usually attached to the center support of the table during the initial construction.

      Insert one tension rod hook into the loop on one side of the net.

      Tie the pre-inserted tension string that hangs from each side of the top of the net to the white tension adjustment tab.

      Insert the top curved end of the tension rod hook into the net post and the straight bottom end of the hook into the hole in the top of the net post.

      Slide the white adjustment tab around the small hook on the side of each net post.

      Screw the adjustment knob into the hole on the bottom of the net post. The adjustment knob holds the tension rod hook in place and allows players to customize net height.

      Repeat steps 1 through 5 on the second side of the net.
