Requirements for becoming an STNA is completing a training program, an exam preparation course and passing the STNA examination. In addition to basic nursing and nurse aide skills, the STNA exam requires knowing how to tie a slip knot. Tying a slipknot is not a difficult task, but it takes knowing the right steps to tie it correctly.
