How to Adjust Odyssey SCUBA Goggles

Odyssey goggles are made for unisex use and are adjusted via two side straps set on a partial ratchet. When adjusted properly, the Odyssey goggles give clear and water-free views underwater for both scuba and snorkeling adventures. The watertight seal is made via suction and pressure. When the mask is underwater, the water pressure surrounding the mask presses it against the face, keeping water out and the views clear. Adjusting the mask is done just prior to the dive or snorkel.

Instructions

    • 1

Rub a little saliva or toothpaste onto the inside of the lens. Dip it into the water to rinse it out. This makes the lens fog-free during dives.

    • 2

Loosen the side straps on the mask. Dip it back into the water to wet and lubricate the straps. Put the mask on and press the nose and eye pieces firmly against the skin.

    • 3

Grip the ends of each side strap at the same time and pull out from the mask to tighten and adjust the mask. Get a tight fit, but not so tight that it hurts.

    • 4

Go underwater, look up to the surface and press both sides of the ask to the face. Breath out with your nose to blow air bubbles up and out from the mask. This removes any small amounts of water and creates the friction and suction seal needed for clear and watertight diving.

    • 5

Come to the surface. Feel for extra pressure when the mask first is placed onto the face. This indicates a properly adjusted mask.
