How to Ollie on a Skimboard
Instructions

1
Get a good glide going while over shallow water, preferably before a small wave. The faster you're going the better chance to perform an ollie. The speed is what actually keeps you safe while doing this trick.
-
2
Center your weight towards the back of your board with your legs about hip width apart and your knees slightly bent. Make sure you feel balanced.
-
3
Push down with your back foot and lift up with your front foot. The pressure on the back of the board brings the front of the board up so that it stays in contact with your feet.
-
4
Pull the skimboard into the air as you jump--this is the ollie. Land the skimboard with both knees bent and keep your torso low; this makes it easier to stay on the board.
-
5
Be prepared for a fall. A cautious skimboarder is a smart skimboarder. Watch out for fellow beach goers, rocks, debris and small children.
