Instructions

  1. Sledding with Two Ropes

    • 1

Purchase a sled that has two ropes for steering.

    • 2

Search for the hill that fits your expertise level. If you are an experienced rider, you may choose a steeper hill versus a beginner sledder who will want a more gradual hill to sled down.

    • 3

Acquire all the proper gear for sledding, such as jacket, gloves, snow pants, sun glasses and hat.

    • 4

Test out your sled before riding down the hill by knowing how to pull the ropes to turn the sled side to side. For instance, pull the left rope toward you to go left.

    • 5

Walk up the hill when you feel comfortable with the sled and steering ropes. At top of the hill, sit on the sled with legs straight out, hold onto the ropes, push off and enjoy the ride down the hill.
