How to Remove a Recoil in a Polaris 600
Removing the recoil on the Polaris 600 snowmobile is necessary to repair the device if the rope breaks or the recoil locks up. The recoil sits on the side of the motor and is fastened with bolts. The Polaris 600 recoil is similar in design to most other snowmobiles and small engines using the recoil system. You can remove the recoil in about an hour with just a socket wrench and save yourself some time and money.
