1
Find and record your Yamaha Bravo's VIN number. The VIN number on a snowmobile is located on the front-right side of the vehicle, directly above the foot rest.
-
2
Locate the tenth digit of the VIN number. The tenth digit represents your Bravo's year model. Each letter or number represents a specific year. The manufacturing years pertaining to the Bravo are listed as follows: 1982 is "C"; 1983 is "D"; 1984 is "E"; 1985 is "F"; 1986 is "G"; 1987 is "H"; 1988 is "J"; 1989 is "K"; 1990 is "L"; 1991 is "M"; 1992 is "N"; 1993 is "P"; 1994 is "R"; 1995 is "S"; 1996 is "T"; 1997 is "V"; 1998 is "W"; 1999 is "X"; 2000 is "Y"; 2001 is "1"; 2002 is "2"; 2003 is "3"; 2004 is "4"; 2005 is "5", 2006 is "6"; 2007 is "7"; 2008 is "8"; 2009 is "9"; 2010 is "A" and 2011 is "B".

3
Enter your snowmobile's VIN number into a VIN decoding program (see Resources for link). The VIN decoder will automatically read the VIN and tell you the year model, along with other basic information about your Bravo.
