These Guys Went Surfing In Sumo Suits – And It Looks Like The Best Thing Ever
Surfing is great fun, but any surfer worth his or her salt knows that for every two minutes you spend on an awesome wave, you spend another 20 minutes paddling out and waiting for the next.
David Fred and his mates over at Aqua Board have found a pretty sick way of making sure they’re on every wave that comes their way… they’ve started surfing in a sumo suit.
From the look of it, sumo surfing mainly involves getting inside a big inflatable tube and throwing yourself at waves. You’ll probably not look quite as cool as the other surfers when you’re emerging from the water after a session, but hey, it looks like a blast!
Fred is a professional body surfer and has recently been concentrating on testing different materials in the water.
This sounds all professional and legit on paper, but in reality, we’re pretty sure ol’ Fred is just having a wicked time with his mates and some big ass inflatables.
We want to see sumo surfing to catch on in competition circles, then we’d tune in to bodysurfing finals for sure!
We’re off to buy some rubber rings and give it a go for ourselves…
