Monster Towers Specifications

Monster Tower manufactures and sells wake board racks, or towers, for boats. A wake board tower has an elevated tow point used by wake boarders to perform tricks and stores wake boards when they are not in use. In 2010, Monster Tower's three tower models were the MTE, MT1 and MT2.

  1. MTE

    • The MTE model costs $799 in 2010. It fits boats of any length with a beam of 60 inches to 120 inches. The 2.25 inch pipes are made of polished and anodized aluminum. The tower folds to the stern when not in use and has a single header bar with a swivel tow point. The MTE height is 7 feet from the floor of the boat, but this height depends on the boat size. The tower is 54 inches wide, while the front legs are 73 inches long and the rear legs are 50 inches long. The shipping weight of the MTE is 48 lbs.

    MT1

    • The mid-range Monster Tower, the MT1, costs $999 in 2010. The recommended boat length is 16 to 19 feet with a beam length of 60 to 102 inches. The tower will fit on longer boats if the beam length is within the range. The pipes on the MT1 are made of aluminum and are 2.5 inches in diameter. There are two finish options for the MT1 tower; polished and anodized aluminum or black powder coated. This tower also folds to the stern and has a swivel tow point. The MT1 is about 7 feet high from the floor of most boats and 56 inches wide. The front legs are 71 inches long, the rear legs are 51 inches long and the shipping weight of the tower is 60 lbs.

    MT2

    • The MT2 tower costs $1,299 in 2010. It fits boats 20 to 24 feet long with a beam length of 60 to 102 inches. The pipes are 2.5 inch polished and anodized aluminum. The bow legs fold to the bow and the rest of the tower folds to the stern. The swivel tow point is taller than the other two models and the front legs are longer. The height of the MT2 is over 7 feet on most boats and the width is 56 inches. The front legs are 89 inches long, the rear legs are 59 inches long and the shipping weight is 62 lbs.
