How to Determine the Right Size for Slalom Race Skis

Slalom skiing can be an enjoyable and rewarding sport, and choosing the right slalom ski can greatly enhance your experience. Whether you are an advanced slalom skier or a beginner, there are universal guidelines to follow in selecting the slalom ski that is right for you. Beginners, however, should choose a slalom ski with a wide front and midsection. This increased surface area allows the beginner to rise out of the water quicker and ski at lower speeds. For both beginners and advanced slalom skiers, weight is the single most important factor in choosing the right slalom race ski.
