Determine what type of rapids you are looking to conquer. Are you looking for something exciting and challenging? Or maybe just a casual float to take in the scenery? Some rapids can be extremely challenging and are only available to people ages 18 and up. These types of rapids aren't recommended for people with heart problems or in poor physical shape. The strength and difficulty of rapids is rated/classified on a scale. There are six different classes ranging from Class I up to class VI. VI being the most difficult. If it's your first time, it's always a good idea to start small and work your way up.
