1
Collect three long, straight sticks approximately 2 inches in diameter. The straighter they are, the better.
-
2
Cut the sticks down so that you have three, 3-foot sticks with flat-cut bottoms. Set them together as tightly as possible.
-
3
Wrap the sticks together in the middle with the cord. Tie the cord tightly, being sure to get the sticks together tight, while leaving just enough slack so that the sticks have slack to pivot out.
-
4
Stand the bundle upright and spread the lower end of the sticks outward, creating a tripod. The tight wrapped cord stretches at this point, giving enough slack to move the sticks while still retaining enough tightness to keep them together and the connection stout. Set the tripod down.
-
5
Stretch a stuff-sack over the top of the sticks, which are also out in a tripod. Set padded clothing such as jackets or vests into the center of the stuff-sack stool top. Sit down and take a load off.
