Instructions

    • 1

Take both ends of your thread and pull them apart with one end between your index finger and thumb on each hand.

    • 2

Cross one end of thread under and then pull upward--pulling both thread ends. Thread will now be crossed in an x-pattern.

    • 3

Hold the thread firmly crossing your thread again.

    • 4

Position the knot. Do not completely tighten until you have the knot where you want it. You can do this by placing a needle in between the crossing in the thread and pulling the needle up or down--placing the knot.

    • 5

Tighten the knot. When the knot is in the desired position, pull the thread out and tight with both hands while removing the needle. Follow with more of these knots as needed.
