How to Know Who Gets a First Round Pick on ESPN Fantasy Football

ESPN Fantasy Football features auto drafts, offline drafts and auction drafts where there is no draft order. In the Live "Snake" draft on ESPN Fantasy Football, the draft order is randomly selected for every player. Once you know your draft spot, you can participate in mock drafts for that selection to see how the draft works and what type of players will be left for you. Learning which player earned the first selection can affect how the rest of the draft plays out.

      Check your league status. No matter what size league you are in, check to see if it has filled. The draft order is not set until the league completely fills.

      Go to the "Fantasy Football" page on ESPN.com and select your team name from the drop-down menu.

      Click on the "League Office" icon. Select the "Draft Room" icon. Scroll down on the list to see the draft order. They go in numerical order from first to last. The first team name on the list is the first round pick for the live draft.

      Contact the league manager if you are in a custom league. Custom league managers have the ability to change the draft order before the draft officially begins.

      Load the ESPN Fantasy Football "Draft Room" 15 minutes before the draft begins. Here you can look at the display, see the draft order and set your custom picks for the draft. The top of the screen shows the draft order along with the "Teams" list on the right side of the screen.
