How to Make a Red Wing Shirt

The Detroit Red Wings are the National Hockey League team of Detroit, a city known for its devotion to hockey. The team began competing in 1926 and has won eight Stanley Cups, most recently in 1997. Devotees of the Red Wings can show their support by purchasing various memorabilia, including team jerseys, sweaters, and shirts, but you can also make your own Red Wings shirt at a fraction of the retail cost.

Instructions

    • 1

      Purchase a plain white T-shirt.

    • 2

Print a copy of the Red Wings logo from an official source.

    • 3

Draw the logo on the shirt with a thin black fabric marker, using the logo as a guide.

    • 4

Fill in the fields (according to the logo template) with red fabric paint. Use a fine brush to increase the neatness and precision of your work.

    • 5

Paint or stencil team members' names and jersey numbers on the back, as desired.

    • 6

Paint or stencil Detroit Red Wings or some iteration thereof on the front, underneath or above the logo, or on the back of the shirt, according to your personal preference.
