How to Find Bucking Bull History

As bull riding grows in popularity, the bulls are growing in size and aggressiveness. The riders are judged and scored if they stay atop the bull for a full eight seconds. Not as well known is the fact that the bulls too are scored on their bucking, rolling and rotations. The Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association and the Professional Bull Riders retain stock contractors to provide the bulls for riding events. The contractors, in turn, market their animals by keeping meticulous records of their performances. Therefore, a bull's bucking history is not difficult for an inquirer to discover.

Instructions

Access the websites of the Professional Bull Riders, at pbrnow.com, and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association at prorodeo.com. Click on tabs for "Bulls" and "PCRA Stock Stats" respectively.

Search bulls by name or by contractor on the PBR site. Do likewise on the PRCA site, unless you wish to do a general search by rodeo, which is also available. Confirm that bull riding is the selected event, as rodeo encompasses many different sports.

Click on the name of the bull in PBR for an historical synopsis of seasons participating, times ridden, buckoff percentage, average buckoff time and scores. The PRCA page will have an icon for "Brand" above the bull's name. Click there for similar statistics.
