Instructions

-
1
Increase your cardiovascular endurance and stamina in order to last a full UFC fight. Non-title fights are three rounds, with each round five minutes long. A UFC title fight is five rounds with each round five minutes long. Many UFC fighters train six days a week, and a major focus of their training is doing cardiovascular exercises like distance running, wind sprints, running stairs and jumping rope.
-
2
Practice as many different disciplines within MMA as possible to become the most well-rounded fighter possible. A great UFC fighter might have one or two disciplines which are their specialty, but they will always strive to improve on the MMA disciplines which might be weaknesses. A UFC fighter will not only need to know how to wrestle, but he will also need to know how to box and protect himself on his feet and on the ground.
-
3
Perform both body-weight and free weight exercises to increase physical strength and stamina. Jump squats, push-ups and dumbbell punch walks are just a few of the many exercises you can consider as you train for the UFC.
-
4
Train and spar with other fighters as much as possible. Whether you're sparring in the ring or pushing each other in conditioning drills, having a partner(s) with you while you train will only help you become a better UFC fighter.
-
5
Join a gym that specializes in MMA training. A gym that specializes in MMA training will have coaches and trainers to help you become the best fighter that you can be, and you'll have the opportunity to train and spar with other fighters on a routine basis.
