How to Make Sports Flyers Online
Instructions
-
-
1
Sketch out a rough draft of your sports flier on a piece of paper. Try to make "display" text ("Baseball Game Today!" or "Soccer Match Tomorrow," for example) larger than other text. Use colored pencils or markers to determine which colors you would like to use and also what pictures, if any, will be in your flier.
-
2
Obtain a photo that will also be included in your flier. Take a picture using your digital camera and upload to your computer in a file format. Most online flier creators can support JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP and GIF formats. You can download clip art from free sites such as sportsclipart.com, or purchase professional stock images from sites such as Gettyimages.com if you do not want to take your own pictures for your flier (see resources).
-
3
Go to a website that assists with creating online fliers, such as domesticsale.com, which has a template for a basic flier that you can create by following a few steps, then print out. If you are seeking a professionally designed flier, websites such as FedEx.com allow you to choose specific design elements and input text, then order printed copies of the finished flier, for a fee.
-
4
Input the display information you wish to include in your flier to announce the sporting event. Most flier creation websites offer a selection of fonts to help you customize your project. Choose any colors for your display type as well. You title should be enticing and spark interest.
-
5
Upload the photos or clip art that you would like to add to your flier. Most flier creators online will allow you to position the photo anywhere on the flier to your satisfaction.
-
6
Choose the color and text size of the body of your flier. The body of your flyer will include the date and location of the sporting event and which teams are playing. This text is usually smaller then the title, but large enough for everyone to read without strain.
-
7
Preview a copy of your flier to check for spelling or grammatical errors and to further customize by changing the color or font sizes, if necessary.
-
8
Print out your flier ideally using a photo or inkjet printer. Consider taking the newly printed flier to a printing company to have multiple color copies made so you can conserve the ink in your printer.
