    • Brackets can be of any size, depending on how many teams are in the tournament. Typically, they are made to hold either four, eight, 16, 32 or any other multiple of an even number of teams.

    • The NCAA Division I basketball tournament is held every March. The field is composed of 65 teams, with seeds 64 and 65 playing the first game to advance to complete the symmetrical bracket of 64.
